KLA has manufacturing sites worldwide. The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation and Quality, builds our leading-edge technology. GOPS partners with KLA's global supply base and design engineering teams to develop new products, working continuously to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Tool Assembly & Integration

• Support assembly, integration, calibration, and verification of MDE tools and subsystems.
• Perform mechanical, optical, electrical, and electro-mechanical installations according to engineering documentation.
• Execute system alignment procedures and support engineering experiments.
• Verify system functionality and readiness before engineering releases.

Engineering Support

• Work closely with MDE engineers to execute product development and improvement activities.
• Assist in engineering investigations and root cause analysis.
• Support prototype builds, engineering changes, and validation activities.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities.

Troubleshooting & Debug

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Collect, analyze, and document system data and test results.
• Support failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Drive issue resolution while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Testing & Validation

• Execute engineering test plans and qualification procedures.
• Perform subsystem and system-level functional testing.
• Document test results and provide clear technical feedback.
• Maintain traceability of engineering experiments and findings.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for improving build procedures, diagnostics, and manufacturing processes.
• Support development of fixtures, tools, and automation solutions.
• Contribute to yield improvement initiatives.
• Assist in implementing best practices and standard work instructions.

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
• Update engineering records and configuration documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Practical Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Optical Engineering) or equivalent technical certification.

Experience

• 2-5 years of hands-on technical experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, precision equipment, or engineering environment.
• Experience assembling and debugging complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience supporting engineering projects and prototype systems.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and measurement tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and procedures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and engineering documentation systems.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment is a strong advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Optical alignment experience.
• Vacuum systems knowledge.
• Motion control systems experience.
• Statistical data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D, Fishbone, FMEA methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
